Abstract:

Interviews with three individuals concerned with the operation of the governor's office in California during the Earl Warren administration. Interviews include: Marguerite Gallagher: Administrative Procedures in Earl Warren's Office, 1938-1953. Includes comments also on the Attorney General's office and her political work during conventions and between campaigns (34 leaves) Verne Scoggins: Observations on California Affairs by Governor Earl Warren's Press Secretary. Comments also on campaigns and political importance of newspapers (107 leaves) Beach Vasey: Governor Warren and the Legislature. Comments on work as Warren's legislative secretary, 1944-1953 (60 leaves).
